STEM
If you're considering a STEM career, getting involved in STEM-related volunteer work and internships can give you crucial hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Volunteer
Teachers would love to have somebody passionate about computer science education who can help in the classroom, or somebody who can inspire their students by talking about the breadth of possibilities with computer science (which could be done through a video chat). Volunteers must be 18 and older.
Websites like VolunteerMatch.org and Idealist.org can help you find STEM-related volunteer opportunities in your area by filtering for specific interests and locations.
As a non-profit organization, The Museum of Flight relies on our volunteers to give docent tours and run our many diverse programs. New volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation held every month, and additional training may be required for specific volunteer assignments. Active volunteers are asked to record a minimum of 8 hours per month throughout the year.
